Fun Clifty Falls hikes set tone for rest of Run the State Series

Unlike the 2019 Run the State 5K and Hike Series debut at Indiana Dunes, the late spring air over Clifty Falls State Park May 11 didn’t hold even a hint of snow.

With a bit of rain in the forecast, the sun nonetheless spent much of the morning shining on several dozen hikers who hit the trails in the name of fun and fitness. Along the way, they learned a great deal about the Jefferson County park’s landscape and features, and came face-to-face with some of the Hoosier State’s most magnificent sights.
